How to Join Eastbourne & Wealden RAYNET
Membership of RAYNET is open to anyone over the age of 14 with an interest in emergency and community communications. It does not matter if you hold an Amateur Radio licence or not as there are many disciplines involved in RAYNET work. All classes of Amateur licence are welcome and a foundation licence (M3 callsign) is not a bar to operating in a RAYNET environment.
Membership of the group is open to anyone with an interest in emergency and community communications whether a licensed Radio Amateur or a radio listener. The Eastbourne & Wealden RAYNET Group in conjunction with the Southdown Amateur Radio Society can provide instruction and assistance with the Foundation Licence.

The subscription rate for 2017 has been set at 14.50 and will rise to 15.00 for 2018, it should be noted that the national registration fee of 7.20 is included in this figure. The group subscription rate includes Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) and it automatically covers for all registered members (some restriction on age).

The benefits under the scheme are as follows:

Third Party Liabilty 10M
Death or total disablement of part of the body - 50,000
Temporary total disablement - 100 per week
